I like to believe I know a little something about sewing, fabric and clothing... After all, I've been sewing since I was in grade school, and hoarding clothing even longer yet. One of my mom's favorite stories is of me, as a toddler, begging her to bring me home, "One clo mama, just one clo" from the store. "Clo" of course, being the singular form of "clothing" to this young child. My love of clothing continued of course, and then changed ever so dramatically when our sweet Pixie, Sophie Elise arrived. It didn't take long before the wee one growing inside of me had a closet full of clothing and then a hefty stash of cloth diapers. Soon, my urge to sew for my small one emerged and from my old Singer came diaper after diaper, and dress after dress. Thus, PatchworkPixie.com was born. I learned a lot in those early days about cloth diapering a new bottom, but most importantly, mastering how to CLOTHE and CLOTH a little one at the same time.
