The simple pull on style wool fabric pant for cloth diapered kiddos has evolved into an entire line of Stylish Wool Wear for your Little One! Our Pixie Pants line continues to grow with each season, now encompassing a wide range of styles for every day of the year! Wool pants offer so much versitility to cloth diapering, you'll not know what you did without them! They are perfect for Autumn and Winter, when cold-weather dressing makes diapering bulky and cumbersome... In warmer weather months, choose Bloomers, Shorts and Capris. Pixie Pants replace your usual cover, so all you have to do use put the child in a fitted diaper and slide the pants over the top. All of our Pixie Pants styles feature elastic (in a hidden waistband, of course) for ease of use and fit for a wide variety of babies.
Pixie Pants are primarily made from wool jersey and wool interlock. Wool is breathable, natural, it doesn`t retain odors, and can retain up to 30 percent of it's own weight in moisture -- meaning no more leaks, wet clothes or wet sheets! Just hang your pants to air after use and they're ready to go next time around. We like to use wool jersey because it`s soft and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y, and in most cases extremely trim. Best of all, Pixie Pants arrive at your door lanolized and ready to use (unless otherwise noted)! We suggest hand washing for all of our wool products, which helps to retain the integrity of the fabric. Extreme temperature change or agitation can cause wool to shrink, which could affect the size and texture of your wool pants. Pixie Pants... Stylish Wool Wear for your Little One...
Upgrades and Wool Information: Wool fabric selections for Pixie Pants can be seen in the "Fabric" Gallery. Some fabrics are limited and will be given first come, first served -- so order early for the best selection. The weight of Pixie Pants will vary depending on the fabric used. Generally speaking, interlock fabrics are more dense than jerseys, and usually stretchier. The photo gallery has been updated to include as much information as possible about each individual woolen, including texture, feel, weight, and hand (level of fulling the wool has experienced). Please note that prices may vary depending on the fabric chosen. In addition to the base price of each style, expect to add the following for more expensive wool styles: Wool Jersey - base price (depending on style), Wool Interlock add $4, Poor Boy Ribs add $5. When available, hand-dyed woolens are priced as such: Solids $6, LWI (multi color) $10. The double sided Woolens are available only for Ultimate Reversible Pixie Pants. Some woolens may not be acceptable for use with some pants styles. Decorative stitching can be added to the hems for an additional $6; see "Decorative Stitches" album in the Fabric Gallery.
Original Pixie Pants are the stars of the Pixie Pants line because they're stylish yet simple, and best of all: gender neutral. The fit is snug at the top and in the diaper area and slightly flared at the bottom for a stylish look. The rise is quite generous, allowing for even the bulkiest cloth diaper. Additionally, these pants have no side seams to bother little ones legs. Base Price Original Pixie Pants: $40. Spice them up a little bit by adding decorative stitching at the hems (for an additional charge).
We offer two variations on our Original Pixie Pants:
Ultimate Reversible Pixie Pants are our amazing totally reversible, double hard-working wool pants. These are available only using our double sided woolens. Base Price for Ultimate Reversible Pixie Pants: $60
Ruffled Pixie Pants offer the same great fit of our Original pants with ruffles added to the hems for a sweet, girly style. The addition of the ruffle does not change the inseam length. Base Price for Ruffled Pixie Pants: $45.

Pixie Ruffled Capris are derived from the same pattern as our Original Pixie Pants, so you'll experience the same great fit you've come to love. We clipped a bit off the hem and added a fun, feminine, and stylish ruffle to each leg. The best thing about these capris is that they can function as pants (measurements willing) during the first cooler days of Spring. Pixie Bloomers: You'll love the classic staple of bloomer shorts, made with wool ~ it will change warm weather dressing for your little cloth diapered sweetie! Put them underneath dresses or swing tops and you're covered ~ or should I say "She's covered"? They're sized generously through the body, so they'll fit for a long time. So generously in fact, that I've found that only two sizes were necessary! The leg elastic is hidden beneath a casing, so nothing touches babies' tender thighs except soft wool jersey! Go all the way and add rumba ruffles to the bum (for an additional charge) ~ after all, bloomers just aren't bloomers without those ruffles on the bum! Pixie Shorts and Board Shorts: With warm weather, the need comes for wool wear with short legs. In response to that, we offer the ease and comfort of our exclusive Pixie Pants, with lengths more appropriate for Spring and Summer! Pixie Shorts and Board Shorts patterns are derived directly from our Original Pixie Pants, so you'll have the comfort of buying the fit and style you already know you love. They're available in two lengths: a shorter "shorts" version, and a longer "board shorts" type, which is about 1" longer than the "short shorts". It's all a matter of preference! Pixie Pockets: Where form and function unite to bring you the ultimate in stylish wool wear for your little one! The details are what make these pants! Wide, flared legs have a stylish look when combined with a gentle ruffle at the hems. The sweet gathered pockets at the hips complete the look. (The pockets are admittedly my favorite part of these pants!) They are sized to be a little longer than our Original PixiePants, so that the ruffles sweep the toes and shoes. Pixie Pockets are a completely different pattern, so don't expect to be able to compare them directly to our Original Pixie Pants. This is a multi-piece pattern which means it has side seams like traditional pants. This small change allows them to have a definite flare, with gentle curves around the hips and a kick nearer the hem. The best part is that these will be perfect for multi-season wear, as they can be pants now and capris in the Spring and Summer (measurements willing)! What more could you ask for? Pixie Cargos: And now something for the little guys! Fun and funky wide leg wool pants with functional side cargo pockets. Choose the poorboy ribbed woolens for a look that resembles little corduroys! Again, another pattern that takes benefit from being all it's own (not derived directly from our Original Pixie Pants). These pants feature more room everywhere -- waist, hips, leg and all! They are a straight leg pant that's wide on the bottom. If you're buying for a baby that's particularly large for his age range, please request the "slim" version of our Cargos, which is less wide through the leg. (We've found this change to be necessary so that your little guy doesn't get lost in his pants.) All measurements remain the same for the slim version, except the hem width. The size Small Cargos area already sized with small babies in mind, so there is no "slim" version available. The hem width measurement is taken across the hem, when the pants are laid flat; in reality, the number you probably want to know is the circumference of the hem, which would be the width measurement times two.
